To the west of Cunningham Pier is a terrific new skate park, the Walk West Sculpture Trail and the family friendly Rippleside Beach. To the east of Cunningham Pier are the North sculptures, the fully restored hand carved wooden Carousel was built in 1892, the Barcode Fountain on Customs Park plus the Cargo Boxes. A visit to Geelong would not be complete without visiting the 1920's Eastern Beach Bathing Complex and the Geelong Botanic Gardens. The Waterfront offers something for everyone
The city offers the National Wool Museum, Costa Hall, Ford Discovery Centre, City Hall, Johnstone Park, the Gordon Gallery, Geelong Regional Library, Geelong Heritage Centre, Geelong Gallery, Geelong Performing Arts Centre, Metropolis Gallery, Karingallery, Brougham Art School & Gallery, Old Geelong Gaol. To the north of the bay is the striking You Yangs that can be seen from everywhere on the bay. The region is complimented by the wondrous Bellarine Peninsula. The Peninsula is made up of seaside villages each with their own unique feel. Whether you visit Queenscliff or Barwon Heads, Portarlington or Point Lonsdale, you will discover stretches of golden sand and friendly, laid back locals.
